- I have a Motorola Power 28.8 and it is set to hang up after two rings.
- This is done by adjusting the s7 register. According to the manual
- the s7 register is the Pause for Answerback and Carrier Detection/Wait
- for Second Dial tone. The default value is s7=30 (seconds). I have
- mine set to s7=12 so that it hangs up after two rings. From this the
- time between rings is six seconds. To hang up after nine rings I
- would set it to s7=54 or higher. The range is zero to 255. Check
- your modem manual about this register and a better explaination.
